Decent Experience at Café de la Comédie Café de la Comédie offers a pleasant atmosphere and a convenient location, making it a good spot for a casual stop. The setting is charming and captures the classic Paris café vibe. Service was acceptable, though a bit inconsistent, and the overall experience didn’t quite stand out compared to other cafés nearby. The hot chocolate was unfortunately quite weak and lacked richness, which was disappointing. On top of that, the prices felt super expensive for what was offered. Overall, an average experience—nice for a quick visit, but there’s room for improvement to truly shine.
Being that it was our second time in Paris, we decided to ditch the first timers at the Louvre and grab some French cuisine. ATMOSPHERE: Busy little cafe near the Louvre. Great for people watching along Rue St Honore. FOOD: Chocolate Crepes with Vanilla Ice Cream Crepes were cooked perfect. Vanilla ice cream was out of this world - never tasted vanilla like that. Super rich & flavorful. Croque Monsieur My first of this sammy was here. This isn't your everyday ham & cheese sandwich! It's not because we were in Paris. It's just unbelievably delish - from the cheese, to the toasted bread to the flavor of the ham. Ok, maybe the location has a little something to do with it. SERVICE: We walked in without a reservation and got seated immediately at a sidewalk table. Our server was friendly and professional. OVERALL: Nice ambience, great food & service. One of the joys of Paris!
Lovely café just steps from the Louvre! The atmosphere is charmingly Parisian, and the staff are warm and attentive. A perfect place to unwind after exploring the Musée du Louvre.
I love it ❣️ I ordered the Quiche Lorraine. It came with a little salad, and together it was wonderful. Server also brought my husband and I some sliced french bread that was a nice little treat with butter. See photos...
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ Café de la Comédie – Paris Classic Parisian café with surprisingly good food. The French onion soup was hearty and satisfying — thick, rich broth with a generous amount of melted cheese and bread on top. The pasta was also nicely done, flavorful and cooked well. The space is a bit cramped, especially during busy hours, but that’s part of the charm for many small Paris cafés. Service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant overall. A solid stop if you’re around the area and looking for comforting French fare in a lively atmosphere.
