Café Convention

So quintessential I honestly suspected it might be putting it on for the tourists. It may well be the case, but they do it so well I can forgive it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Exactly what you expect from a brasserie in central Paris.

Superb and sublime. The location, atmosphere, food, and service are top. We dined there several times and each meal was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and the service is impeccable. Conveniently situated off Metro line 12 and several bus lines in the lively Convention area of the 15th arr. We look forward in anticipation of our next trip home to Paris to revisit one of our favorite restaurants in the city. A bientôt!

Nice Cafe to have a drink and a bite to eat. Seating indoors and outdoors. They have a good selection of food. The tables on the inside are small but that adds to the charms. Service was good and quick. We came in around 18:30 so it was not very crowded. It started to fill up around 20:0. I guess the place can be busy later in the evening. I had the onion soup and the tartar. Both were very nice and very reasonable pricing.

The service was really great. We don’t speak French and we had several seniors in our group. We had several dishes, drinks and dessert. The risotto was delicious. The chicken special we tasty as well. The ravioli ricotta arrabiati was just ok as it needed more seasoning. For dessert, the French toast with ice cream didn’t make it to the camera lens as it was shared across the table. Overall, we could definitely visit here again as the experience was good. Oh, the drinks were good and the local beer offered was enjoyed by several.
