Brasserie food & drinks in a cutting-edge space with terrace seating for Pompidou Center views....
It was a simple break during our stroll through the surrounding Parisian neighborhoods, a chance to enjoy a warm cup of coffee or something similar. The place is nice and quiet, and its patrons suggest it's a haven for those seeking peace and relaxation, perhaps to enjoy a book or a quiet conversation with a companion. Our order tasted wasn't very good. While the service was quick, it felt like a mere formality, lacking genuine enthusiasm and hospitality. To be fair, this was only apparent with the person who served us; the rest of the staff were much more professional.
We had a great experience. The food was delicious. Thomas our waiter was awesome. Recommend this place highly. I had the salmon my husband had the chicken.
The ultimate place to enjoy excellent food and a drink by the Centre Pompidou. Many have a sip while enjoying the people watching. Was pleasantly surprised to find really good and reasonably priced food options here as well. The salad was crisp and fresh, nem tasty and warm, and the verveine tea with assorted desserts perfectly done. Service was attentive and well timed. Highly recommend.
Out of 3 beers we ordered, 2 had been clearly spilled long before, as they were warm and withour any gas. And they charged 6€/beer while outside the Happy Hour menu stated 4,90€.
It had been a very long time since I last returned to Café Beaubourg, and I was curious to rediscover the place. I had noticed that the rating on this platform was not particularly high (below 4), but I still wanted to make up my own mind. Overall, I was personally welcomed and served quite well, which allowed me to enjoy my break. However, I observed a situation that I found rather unfortunate. Two Asian tourists sat at a table close to mine and waited for more than fifteen minutes without anyone approaching them, even though there were only about a dozen people seated on the terrace at that time (Sunday, August 17th, around 4 pm). Discouraged, they eventually left without ordering. I am not sure whether the young waiter with mid-length curly hair simply did not notice them, but the end result was that they left with a negative impression. I find this regrettable because, beyond the restaurant’s reputation, it also affects the image of Paris for visitors. This iconic location deserves a level of service that matches its history and charm. I hope my feedback will be taken as a constructive remark to help improve the experience for all guests.
