Bistrot Beaubourg

I just walked in tonight not knowing what to expect. I presume it is the owner who was so friendly and spoke perfect English so I trusted him to order my dinner. On the way I learnt that the word best Bistrot is actually a Prrusian word means fast. The story goes that when Prussian soldiers where are drinking alcohol in French bars they use this word to have their order quickly before their officers spotted them. Anyway the staff is extremely friendly was simply good and I had a great evening. The dinner was relatively inexpensive as well.

I have fond memories of living in Paris for a short while and Bistro Beaubourg is the place I keep coming back to so I can indulge in nostalgia. I recommend to opt for one of the great no frills plat du jour and, my favourite, île flottante as dessert.

Interior was nothing extraordinary, however was very relaxed and chill. The service provided by our waiter was great and he had kept us entertained throughout the whole meal, even showing us table-side how to prepare our beef tartare. Fantastic beef tartare, and amazing mayonnaise.

an affordable and local place in the middle of touristy area. with friendly service and simple but tasty food!

I am voting that bistro 5-6 times already for last year. The interrrier is not very posh but the service and price and food quality are strong 5 stars. I think they have the Most iconic tartar ever! Tasty meet and starters
