Weekday mornings are the quietest
This review concerns the Bonne JournΓ©e bakery located near the RER A train station: I've never had a problem until today; I often go there in the morning. Until today, that is, until I encountered a saleswoman who clearly didn't know her job. I ordered a double chocolate cookie, and they gave me a triple chocolate cookie. Okay, fine, no big deal. So I explained that I wanted the double. I was already a little annoyed because the two saleswomen were talking amongst themselves as if I didn't exist. And then, wouldn't you know it, I ended up with not ONE, but TWO triple chocolate cookies... I explained again politely: no, ONE DOUBLE chocolate cookie. She froze ("but he said double, double = two = two cookies???" she probably doesn't have more than four brain cells, in my opinion). She replied, "Well, sir, you ordered two cookies, right?" So I think I still know what I ordered, thank you very much! In short, the saleswoman was unpleasant, incapable of self-reflection and unable to grasp the possibility of two people misunderstanding each other. The rest of the team was very pleasant, no complaints there; the morning staff were particularly appreciated.
Good but it's not the best located (RER A)
Surprise baskets are great: you end up with almost nothing but croissants just because you have to sell off items no one wants to buy. At one point, β¬7 worth of croissants + two identical sandwiches in a β¬15 basket is just taking the piss out of customers (even though the counter was packed). It's also worth noting that, as if by chance, the prices are adjusted to fall exactly to β¬15 with this type of item. Yet another brand using TooGoodToGo as a way to make as much money as possible while minimizing losses. ππ»

Salty βββββ Sweet Heavy βββββ Light Fragrance β β β ββ Crispness β β β ββ Chewiness β β β ββ As is typical of chain croissants, these have a high turnover rate and are often served warm, so it's easy to find freshly baked ones. They're light, sweet, and soft with a crispy exterior, which is quite good. Consistently delicious.
