Was never waited on. First sat in the front area and was told I have to order food from the other back room 10 feet away where no was was in. So I moved and waited 10 mins and no one even looked in my direction. Got up and left. Screw that.
Very disappointing experience I had a very bad experience at Le Canon de la Nation. The hygiene standards were unacceptable. I was served coffee in a cup that clearly looked like it had already been used and not properly washed. This immediately made me uncomfortable. When I noticed this and looked around, it seemed like basic cleanliness was not being taken seriously. One of the staff members (a man with a ponytail) handled the service carelessly, which only added to my concern. Clean cups and basic hygiene are the minimum expectation at any café. Unfortunately, this place failed badly in that regard. I would not recommend it and will not be returning.
Worst coffee I had in a while - super burned and bitter. They probably buy cheapest/trashiest beens possible. Also, we had a flight to catch and intended for 20m grab and go, but it took 40m(!) because the servers were doing some chatty chat between themselves, so I had to shout to get the bill.
Great breakfast, tasty avocado toast with salmon or bacon!
Nice, hangout café / restaurant, for evening afterwork drinks or dinner, near the street with a view on Place de la Nation!
