Café Bar Génova

I came here tonight and when they charged my card at the end of my meal, they kept showing me their system declined the charge. They tried to charge my card several times after that and it kept saying declined. I checked my mobile banking app and it showed I had been charged for my meal 4 times. The staff insisted that I pay in cash after I showed them I had already been charged for my meal 4 times. Other patrons at the restaurant spoke up and said the same thing happened to them. The staff knowingly was running people's cards over and over again after they were getting declined and charged, then finally demanding cash from everyone. Ended up paying for my meal 5 times and wasted 20 minutes of my time going back and forth with them. Horrible experience, avoid this place at all costs.

Made the mistake of going to this place before reading one of the previous reviews. They tried to swindle me by charging me double. Luckily, we happened to look at the receipt closely. They were not only charging us the wrong price for one of the plates, they made that charge TWICE. It seems they have the habit of doing this..sad.

Perfect place to sit for a drink and a bite whole watching a streaming flow of interesting people through the Zona Rosa. Great food specials and WiFi.

Don't do it. The food was just ok, but the owner lady tried to swindle me by offering 13.50 Mexican pesos per dollar (it's currently at 20 MXP per dollar) then when I gave the waiters $20 bill she changed it to 12 pesos per dollar. Needless to say I was pissed. She basically was trying to charge me almost double the price! The waiters were so embarrassed that they changed the bill from their own money. Back to the food: the soup was good, the torta was not good. There are too many options to choose this place.

We ate here at evening, found great restaurant, best Mexican foods, soups, salad, tacos, and more! We also found this really reasonable price and best food too! Worth trip here!
