Welcoming coffeehouse with handcrafted coffee, espresso & tea, plus breakfast, lunch & pastries....
Went in 2 times within a couple hours. Rude counter staff yelled at us as we were Standing in the bathroom line up “washrooms only for customers”, and I mean yelled directly at us. We’d been in earlier and had a latte and water and returned after an hour or so to regroup, get another latte and decide what to do next. So we are being yelled at loudly and commanded to “order something and do it now” , since we went straight to the washroom lineup (mind you we had ordered stuff an hour or so before) but had left and came back. I’ve never been treated so rudely EVER anywhere like I was on Thursday February 19 at this Starbucks in Madrid. Also the latte was like warm and mid at best. Don’t recommend.
The worst experience I’ve ever had in a cafe. I am from UK and if course I couldn’t speak the language. The staff was so rude, they refused to speak to me in English and they didn’t help me at all. Also during my efforts to order I used google translate, they were making fun of me in their language and that made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Last but not least when I managed to “order” I had paid for three products and they gave me only two so when I showed them the receipt they didn’t give me attention and they were taking orders from other clients so I asked for my money back and they didn’t even talk to me. Just like I wasn’t even there! All these are unacceptable!
Its Starbucks, conveniently located in the city center. Obviously don't come if you didnt want standard Starbucks products and level of service. I'll give it a 5 star because it fulfills my expectations. Its great for a morning coffee and light breakfast right before you hit the big park close by.
Whether you are an art lover visiting the Prado or just a local soaking in the vibe of Madrid, this Starbucks at Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo is a fantastic spot. The view of the Neptune Fountain while sipping a latte is truly unbeatable and provides a classic European atmosphere that most cafes can't match. I’ve noticed some people complaining about the wait times, but they really need to realize that this is a major central hub. Because it is located in the heart of the "Golden Triangle of Art" and right next to world-class hotels, there is a massive amount of foot traffic. It makes sense that more people stop here to refuel compared to a quiet neighborhood Starbucks with much less traffic. Despite the constant rush, the staff does an incredible job of keeping things moving. If you want a great coffee with a front-row seat to the beauty of Madrid, this is the place to be!
This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to in my life. The queue was extremely slow and now it has taken about 20 minutes to make a Frappuccino and it is still not here. And this place is filthy dirty
