Lamucca

The ham croquettes were very nicely done. But, that is where the good experience ends. First, the waitress seemed to take offense to me immediately. No idea why. Ordered a the house recommended burger ,: medium. It came out barely rare and with the guancole cold. Not that it wasn't hot, it had obviously been pulled from the walk in. Upon mentioning this she takes it away, no apology and brings it back within a minute. The ham had been in the microwave for 15 seconds or on the planchette for the same. Never came back to check. The attitude and the poor performance is a strong no to Lamucca.

Great tasting food, superb ambience and service. The staff did a great job even though we didn't know any Spanish, well worth a visit.

Great food and excellent service. We were visiting Madrid and a friend recommended this place, so we decided to give it a try and we loved it. My in-laws were celebrating their 38th anniversary, which made the night even more special. Luis took great care of us. He was very helpful, friendly, and attentive, so kudos to him for the outstanding service. If you are looking for great food and a good time, this is definitely a place to visit. You will not regret it.

The food was great and delicious. But... the low score is given due the fact that we reserved a table at 20:30. We ordered the food and at 21:30 they come to our table and say we need to move table (next to the unpleasant bar). I was still eating! I wouldn't call this great service at all. Either you let the new (double booked) customer wait and give your already seated client the time to eat, drink and potentially have a dessert or you come to the table and say that you need the table for new clients.

Lamucca del Carmen is located in a beautiful spot right in the plaza — the location is definitely one of its strong points. The outdoor seating area is lovely, especially on a nice day, and the interior is just as charming, with tasteful decor and a cozy atmosphere. Our experience with the staff was mixed. The receptionist who greeted us at the entrance came across a bit cold and gave us a slight attitude, which wasn’t the warmest welcome. On the other hand, our waitress was very friendly and sweet, which definitely made up for it during the meal. As for the food, it was a bit underwhelming based on what we ordered. The salmon dish I had was quite disappointing — it lacked flavor and had a strong fishy taste that made it hard to enjoy. We also ordered a salad and a pasta dish, which were acceptable, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the restaurant is a great place in terms of ambiance and location, and perhaps other menu items might be better. But based on our choices, the food didn’t quite meet expectations.
