We arrive early at Plaza España and decide to grab some breakfast at this coffee shop. The food is not particularly delicious, but it's good, and the coffee is just okay. Not too many bakeries to choose from. The employees were friendly and fast. For us, the place gives you energy to continue.

It was great that it was open early from 7am. It had a direct view towards Plaza de España. The coffee was ok but the pastries looked good.

Nice place with good varieties! However, I gave them 4 stars due to inconsistency! I tried them two times while in Madrid ! First time , the coffee was magnificent! The second time , absolutely the opposite ! I don’t know why ! Anyway, the vibes are great ! Maybe I was unlucky! But just beware!

Faborit is a pretty big chain of coffee, salad & sandwich shops in Spain, mainly located in Madrid (17) and Barcelona (10). They cater to the breakfast and lunch occasions. The location in Plaza de España is wide, modern and well lit, a beautiful space where the light comes in to envelop your food moment. For some reason, I had to pay the coffee in one transaction and the food in another transaction? The poor girl taking orders did not know how to operate her machine. Not a big deal, but she needs a manager and training. Fast. Coffee was OK, not memorable. There are better coffee shops like Mission close by if you want something more 3rd wave coffee. This one was convenient for us, nothing more, nothing less. The pan con tomate was underwhelming. Mainly because the poor tomato was destroyed in a blender, lacks the texture of hand made. Average tasting tomato. We had better elsewhere during our trip. However, the oil and vinegar self-service counter is a nice touch. Average experience. Nothing more, nothing less. Lovely place located in front of a view of Plaza de España. Their coffee is ok, but not the best. They have the best carrot cake, juice, and fresh salad. If you like to read or study at the coffee shops.. this is the place.
