Kausa Madrid

We came here for lunch on Valentine’s Day and unfortunately it was quite disappointing. The food was average and not really worth the price, and the sangria was also just okay. The worst part, however, was the service. My partner clearly told the waitress his main course order in English and even pointed to the exact item on the menu, but she never put the order in. My meal arrived, and after waiting for a while with no sign of his food, he asked about it — only then did she place the order. There was no explanation or apology, and it didn’t seem like a language issue since he showed her directly on the menu. She simply said it wouldn’t take long, but it did, and as a result we couldn’t eat together. His food arrived when I was almost finished. Overall, it was not the experience we had hoped for on a special day.

Visited today, and had a very very pleasant lunch experience.. the 2 staff (a gentleman and a lady) are very friendly and patient...They speak little English but took the time to translate and ensure we know what we are ordering. Thank you !!! Very value for money lunch set too.

Great value weekday 'menú del día'. My papa a la huacaina, pork chaufa, glass of albariño and expresso were all great but my partner's chicken with boiled rice and a purple version of Russian salad was a bit boring, rather stodgy and needed more sauce. But she loved her pisco sour which was of course an extra.

I’ve eaten Peruvian food all around the world and have to say that Kausa definitely lives up (and maybe even exceeds) the standard. I had food from the ‘Menu del Dia’ option and was blown away by the presentation and flavors that each plate offered—including my favorite addition, a homemade ‘olive’ sauce that accompanies the pollo a la brasa plate. SO good. Ricardo’s service was also the cherry on top to my experience. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent new restaurant in the neighbourhood. Food is fresh and very tasty, service is good and i like the large glass windows that let in a lot of natural light. Will visit again.
