I had a wonderful breakfast experience at [H]arina in Madrid. From the moment I sat down, the service was unbelievably quick—truly like lightning! It made for a perfect, efficient start to the day. While the presentation was simple and straightforward, everything on the plate was clearly made with good intentions and tasted absolutely delicious. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, perfectly cooked, and the accompanying multigrain toast had a wonderful texture and flavor. Even the little pot of salmorejo was a lovely, tasty addition. Paired with a beautiful, rich cup of cappuccino (or café con leche), this was a truly satisfying meal. [H]arina proves that you don't need fancy plating when the ingredients are fresh and the execution is spot-on. Highly recommend stopping by for a quick, high-quality, and genuinely tasty breakfast or snack!
This bakery and cafe chain is a place we've visited several times. The staff are welcoming, though the service can be a bit slow, likely due to being short-staffed. They offer a wide variety of baked goods, all of which are enjoyable, though not particularly remarkable. The coffee, unfortunately, is quite ordinary. If you're in the area and looking for a spot to relax with a cup of coffee, it’s a decent choice with plenty of seating available.
At first we were a little turned off because the service was slow and a little disorganized. But once we ordered the food and drinks arrived fairly quickly. I ate a typical egg breakfast - it was tasty. They provided a tomato spread for bread which was extra good. Overall a good place for breakfast or coffee. Though perhaps not if you are in a hurry during morning hours.
This is a decent place for coffee and pastels if you're in the area and want something local. It's clean and pleasant on the inside, with friendly staff and a good selection of sweets and pastries to choose from. There is outside seating as well, which is nice but the seats and tables are cheap and not too comfortable unfortunately. I went first thing in the morning and it was quiet to start with but quickly filled up, and I noticed the staff seemed a little overwhelmed... However, still a pleasant experience overall at a good price.
One of my favorite places for coffee (Café con leche with soy rather than almond milk) and the traditional Spanish breakfast avocado-toast (Best with whole grain) with tomatoes aaah!!! Always a great choice! Service is very fast and there is lots of seating space indoors and outdoors. They have free wifi and sockets. It may get quite noisy during peak times so taking out your laptop or making a phone call depends on what time you go there. I would love gluten-free alternatives.
