First Paella I’ve had in my life and it was incredible! I asked Ricky which he’d recommend and we went for the Mixta. Diligent and wonderful experience matched by the quality and richness of the food. This has set the bar high!
Seafood paella 17.5€, Sangria 5.5€ Good location. Complementary bread, chips, and dumpling-like finger foods. Even though it wasn’t busy, the paella took over 20 minutes to come out. While it tasted very nice, I personally think it could have had a little bit more seafood — one or two more pieces of squid? Sangria was very refreshing for a warm day. Staff were friendly, overall satisfied.
The worst restaurant I have ever visited. I absolutely do not recommend it. The food took a very long time to arrive. When it finally came, the croquettes were cold, the fries were just acceptable, and the bread was so stale that even seagulls wouldn’t be able to bite it. After that, my pork dish (OREJA A LA PLANCHA)finally arrived, a dish that the waiter personally recommended to me. Unfortunately, the meat was extremely bad; it literally felt like chewing plastic. While eating, I found a hair in my food. I removed it and looked more carefully, only to be shocked by a piece of meat completely covered in hair. I informed the waiter, and his response was unbelievable. He told me that if I don’t know what I want to eat, I shouldn’t order anything, and that hair is “normal” for this dish. I replied that if I wanted to eat hair, it would have been better to go to a barber and ask for a hair meal. I also reminded him that I ordered this dish based on *his* recommendation. At that point, he became aggressive and started defending the food instead of apologizing. In conclusion: terrible food, terrible service, and a very rude waiter. I strongly do not recommend visiting this restaurant.
Came here with my family. We ordered one seafood paella, one pork rib and one calamari. Food was served hot with excellent service. It suits our palate so well. Love the food and the service. Yummy!!! If you are around the area, drop by for a taste of Spain.
Arrived from Seville close to midnight and chance on a tapa place close to my hotel, the cerveceria la cruz de malta still open with a nice side walk tables. Service was helpful given some language barrier. Started w/ courtesy platito of crustry bread with spanish potato omelette dressed with aoili, then ordered fried calamare andalusian style-disappointingly just a plate of litely battered and salted squid rings with a quarter lemon slice but no dips-, bowl of salmorejo-chilled tomato soup originally cordoban topped with bits of jamon serrano and boiled egg-delicious and satisfyingly appropriate for a warm evening, tasty ham croquettes-crunchy on the outside and creamy inside with hints of jamon taste- and finally a slice of tortilla-spanish potato omelette. Opted out of cervesa and wine to be up early for return flight. The corner tapa place is a great place to watch people while dining!
