My favourite place in Madrid. Very affordable, very authentic. Staff is really friendly. My gf and I go for breakfast weekly
Lovely little family purveyor of churros, porras & fritters with chocolate AND the BEST coffee we had in Spain during our 10-day visit. Limited seating, bar service & take-away. 10/10, highly recommend!
The Churros and Porras were incredible. Great local place and fantastic service. Egg free as well which meant my son was delighted. Definitely visit if in the area.
Craving churros while visiting the neighborhood of Cuatro Caminos… and found this hidden gem around the corner from the Mercado de Maravillas. It’s a small place with limited seating and limited standing counters to eat at. The staff was friendly and efficient in taking and preparing my order of churros, porras, chocolate and coffee (all under €5). This business was booming with locals - I was definitely the only tourist during my 30min. food savoring session. The churros and porras weren’t too greasy and were crisp on the outside while remaining fluffy on the inside. However, the true star of the show was the chocolate, which was deep, rich and unsweetened. This is perfect because I don’t anything overly sweetened and I love being able to taste the quality of the chocolate. But for those who love sweets - they give you packets of sugar and a spoon to stir in whatever amount of sugar suits you. Another bonus is that they have a self serve water station with plenty of clean cups for those who get a little thirsty after eating their rich and delicious treats.
Good local restaurant to try the churros
