Weekday mornings are the quietest
After leaving a doctor's appointment, I went into the establishment for breakfast. They serve you both at a table inside and on the terrace. I ordered coffee and toast. Service was average. The atmosphere was quiet with pleasantly loud music. I was surprised by the price of €3.30 for a basic breakfast, which is a bit high compared to other establishments in the area, unless they charged me for the special breakfast with juice, which I didn't even see on the table. It's not bad, but there are better options in terms of price. I must say that there are many breakfast options in the area, as it's very busy due to the proximity of public transport, health centers, etc.
The food was amazing, we had delicious sea bass ceviche and lomo saltado. The service was attentive, we'll definitely be back.
I ordered a Peruvian-style chicharrón sandwich, expecting to enjoy its characteristic balance of crispy chicharrón, fresh onions, and the creamy touch of a good sauce. However, the presentation left much to be desired. The sandwich arrived without any sauce, making it dry and difficult to enjoy, especially with an Americano. The onions, although plentiful, didn't provide enough juiciness to balance the texture of the bread and the meat. As for the price, €7.50 is high considering the quality and the lack of a side dish to enhance the flavors. This sandwich has the potential to be an excellent option if the dish is improved with a suitable sauce and a better harmony of the ingredients. I hope the establishment takes these details into account to elevate the dining experience and do justice to such a beloved classic of Peruvian cuisine.
It's mainly a Latin American café, and for my first time there, I had a good experience. - The place has plenty of tables - The waiters are very attentive, and the food comes out very quickly - Good quality and reasonable prices - It has a terrace Otherwise, everything was fine Cheers! ✌️
We had afternoon tea at Cafe de Oporto, which has a fairly large terrace. When the weather is nice, it must be heavenly to have breakfast or a snack there. Inside, there are plenty of tables, and even some high stools at the bar for a quick bite. The atmosphere is very pleasant. They have a wide selection of both sweet and savory items, and everything looked delicious. I caught a glimpse of some French toast they had at the entrance; it looked exquisite. We decided to have some pancakes with cream and syrup, a Viennese coffee, and a mint-pennyroyal infusion. Everything was delicious, and the service was very friendly and the waitresses were quite fast. Highly recommended! We'll be back! I've attached photos of what we ordered!
