My matcha was honestly average, but what stood out was how rude the guy who took my order was. He was short and didn’t look at me when speaking, as if he couldn’t be bothered. It was honestly a bit shocking… The space is minimalist, clean, and they have seats against the window that allow laptops. They’ve got WiFi but no outlets. The music is nice and sets a good ambiance
Nice minimalist Japanese coffee shop. I had a matcha latte which was basic, nothing out of the ordinary. My partner’s iced cappuccino was surprisingly better, with a more unique and interesting flavour.
If you are a true coffee connoisseur, this Japanese specialty coffee shop is a dream come true. Unlike many places that try to do everything, this cafe focuses strictly on the art of coffee, and the results are extraordinary. I tried their V60 pour-over using a light-roast Japanese bean, and the clarity of flavor was mind-blowing. The precision the baristas use—from the water temperature to the pouring technique—is a testament to the Japanese dedication to perfection. It’s not just a caffeine fix; it’s a craft. The space itself is minimalist and serene, designed to let you focus entirely on the aroma and taste of your brew. No distractions, just high-quality beans and expert preparation. It’s easily one of the best spots in London for anyone who appreciates the subtle notes of a well-brewed cup. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. If you take your coffee seriously, you need to visit this place. A truly refined and authentic experience!
Overall the cappuccino was really good. The quality depends on the barista a little bit though as the flat white was quite hot another time. Their kashi bite is nothing special, similar to French canele.
I had hoped for a lot more from Omotesando than I got. For such a prominent coffee shop, the experience did not meet my expectations. They have a large selection of coffee, but the barista just said “where do you like coffee”. When I said “Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia”, he replied with “I have one Ethiopia. I’ll do that.” It ended up being some lower end beans, and I wish I had received the attention that would’ve led me to a better tasting. The barista ended up chatting the entire time that he was brewing my cup with some friends of his that came in, which was disappointing as well.
