Service: very friendly and I was seated quickly in a spot I chose, fast and efficient service, attentive and helpful. Atmosphere: ideal for sharing a coffee or brunch, quiet music, very tidy and clean, cream-coloured décor with grey tones and warm lighting. Food: We ordered a chai latte with a jar of chocolate biscuits. It was creamy with a natural aniseed sweetness, topped with star anise and cinnamon, which created an exquisite aroma. The chocolate biscuits were very tasty, although a little dry. The food only took 7 minutes to arrive and for our main course we ordered a ‘Mediterranean Avocado & Feta Toast’, which looked great at first glance with its presentation. As for the taste, it had some very well-executed poached eggs, a feta cheese cream with basil that felt very fresh, smooth and creamy, which was perfect when combined with the bread. The pumpkin seeds added crunch and intense flavour, and the tomato and balsamic glaze provided just the right touch of sweetness. Combining everything in one bite created a sensation of creaminess with a very well-crafted crunch. It was a balanced dish and a very generous portion. Definitely a highly recommended place for breakfast or brunch, with a very pleasant atmosphere. It was undoubtedly an experience that exceeded my expectations.
They have the best avocado toast ever! 🥑 The coffee is also really good smooth and full of flavor. It’s a cozy spot with a nice atmosphere, perfect for a date or just a relaxed morning. Definitely a place worth visiting!
Southbank in Harold’s Cross is a solid neighbourhood café with good intentions, but doesn’t quite reach standout status. The food is decent — brunch classics like French toast and eggs Benedict hit the spot, though consistency can be an issue. Service is friendly, but can feel stretched when it’s busy, and the space, while bright and inviting, gets cramped and noisy at peak times. Overall, it’s a reliable spot for a casual bite or coffee, but with some rough edges that keep it at a 3/5 across food, service, and vibe.
Great brunch place. The space is really nice and warm, service is friendly and the food is fantastic. a bit overpriced though.
Beautiful brunch in Southbank. Plenty of sweet and savory options, as well as an array of pastries and beverages. We went for the French toast and the eggs Benedict, which were both delicious. Clean aesthetic and lovely ambience in the place... it's even dog friendly! Would definitely recommend booking if you're looking for a table for Saturday/Sunday brunch. Will definitely be returning!
