I ordered The Aztec sandwich for breakfast and honestly, it was disappointing. The bread was so over-toasted it was hard to bite through, and inside there were thick, over-fried slices of bacon… plus chopped bacon on top. Bacon on bacon feels like a strange choice when there’s nothing else to balance it out. There weren’t any vegetables or fresh elements to cut through all that dry, fatty texture, so the whole sandwich felt heavy and one-dimensional. On top of that, it was served with a side of chips, which only made the whole dish feel even more greasy. I’d honestly suggest swapping the chips for a small salad or even just a few fresh leaves. Something light would balance the richness and make the sandwich feel less overwhelming. It has potential, but the overall combination just didn’t work for me.
I go there with my dog and partner a lot to support the local business, and some days we even go for both breakfast and lunch and we always leave tips on the card machine. This time they didn’t have the sandwich I wanted and I only ordered a take away so I skipped the tips for the first time. And you can see the complete 180 degree of attitude switched that the 2 girls had there. It was very bad vibe and energy when I left. The people there used to be cool, not like this.
Great Coffee. Great music. Great staff. Sitting off the Y at the top of manor street, Joli has a lot to offer the local community. It is a cool space with artworks on the walls that are available to purchase. For a small house they leave a lot on offer in terms of food. Nice calm space. Worth the detour if needed.
Birria tacos would be 10/10 if consome sauce is added as dipping the taco in would make it deliciously juicy. Although, my favourite was the yucateco pibil taco. Quesadillas are lovely, ask for chipotle sauce if you want to add lil more flavour on it. Great environment when jazz started been played. I'll be back to enjoy it
A very nice small restaurant with a great atmosphere. The have a great selection of wines. We went there on a Thursday they had tacos and jazz so this made the experience even better. All the food was delicious. The tacos were very nice and the portions are very good for the price. I would totally recommend it.
