My husband and I were visiting Dublin from the U.S., and we stopped in for coffee here on our way to the Jameson Distillery tour. We both like iced drinks, and we know that many places in Ireland don't offer them, but when we asked about it, we got a short, rather impolite answer. The drinks still looked really lovely so we decided to order hot drinks anyway. On the menu there was a drink that was listed as having Earl Grey syrup, so I asked if I could get a cafe latte with the Earl Grey syrup in it. Again, the person at the register gave a fast, blunt reply, simply saying they don't do syrups. I tried to ask about the syrup posted on the menu, but was cut off, with another sharp declaration that they "don't do syrups here". Discouraged but still wanting to try, we ordered. I had the Earl Grey Matcha (the drink with the syrup in question), and my husband had the Dirty Chai. My husband didn't care for the chai but we both agreed that was probably personal taste rather than anything else. The drinks were both absolutely stunning to see, and my matcha was very tasty. The store atmosphere was also very bright and inviting. However, if we lived nearby, I would probably not return. Hopefully this was just a cultural misunderstanding and not a common occurrence.
Modern café with dedicated laptop areas. It's a good spot to work and enjoy a good coffee or a tasty pastry! The exposed concrete might not be to everyone's taste, but I like it. The location is also easy to pop into for a coffee while out and about in Smithfield.
Great coffee and pastry shop in Smithfield! The cardamom bun (Cardi B) is probably one of the best cardamom buns in Dublin! This pastry runs out on weekend by noon so make sure you’re there early to grab one. The cinnamon bun is also very delicious and would recommend it too. The coffee selection at proper order is quite extensive and I appreciate the variety of options that they have to offer. The staff is very helpful and patient, and there is ample space in the cafe. Love this place!
I love filter coffee. For me it’s a standard way to explore cities during my trips. Loved the whole experience in this place. The best filter coffee so far in Dublin. Beautiful minimalist interior
High-level coffee the real deal! The pastries are extremely good and definitely worth trying. It’s not exactly a place for a full brunch, but it’s perfect for a good chat and an excellent coffee. The staff are amazing, super fast, and friendly. Honestly, it’s one of the best coffees in Dublin in my opinion. I highly recommend it! ☕✨
