Weekday mornings are the quietest
We needed a solid breakfast option the morning after arriving from Seattle, recovering from jet lag and leaving for the train within a couple hours. The menu offered a wide selection of egg-based dishes, including Eggs Benedict—our favorite! We saw a line outside when we arrived, but it actually went fairly quickly. The host at the door is a pro at efficiently seat groups of varying sizes. We ordered the Benedict and apple-cinnamon crepe to share, and they both exceeded all expectations. The brioche has a bit of sweetness to it and, as Americans, it seemed the delicious Irish butter really takes the hollandaise to the next level. When we arrived back in Dublin after a week in Cork, we considered other brunch options, but knew we’d regret not stopping in on our last morning. The food tasted just as good as we’d remembered. I’m sure we’ll be back on our next visit, too! Random coincidence: We have that gorgeous wallpaper along the stairs in our home, as well!
Tried 3 different Eggs Benedict, and they all taste delicious. The traditional one with bacon was the one I liked the most. Hash browns are really good too. Dessert-wise, the cheesecake is standard, but the crepe with Dulce de Leite is great!
There was a line as soon as we entered, some people were made to wait outside. But we did not wait ling to be seated around 5 minutes. Breakfast ends at 11:30. The food as great, especially the eggs Benedict. A coffee and a dish for breakfast will be around 20€ per person. The service was great all the people were very nice and friendly.
There was a queue outside but the place is massive so we were seated within around 10 minutes. The food was stunning. Added bacon to my savoury croissant which took it to the next level. The caramelised onion on the sausage club was sensational. Would 100% recommend and come back again.
Absolutely no notes for Jay Kay’s, we had a fantastic experience here. Was in the mood for a traditional Irish breakfast but when I saw they had an Irish breakfast burrito I couldn’t resist. We also tried the eggs Benedict on brioche bread as well as the dolce de leche crepe. The burrito was my favorite but everything we had was a 10/10.
