Modern designer furniture for sale & a gourmet cafe/coffee shop in chic, buzzy surrounds....
Industry & Co looks stylish and progressive, but my experience as staff was the opposite. A roster was published without my name, then deleted and replaced with one including me. When I asked about it, the manager said it was simply an “error” and not to worry. Later, I asked if there would be any review of my performance, and she said she wanted to talk on Tuesday. That Tuesday, I was dismissed immediately, without notice, and without being allowed to finish my shift even though they knew I had no safety net as an immigrant. For a company that sells an image of social awareness, that’s a brutal contradiction. Draw your own conclusions. I want to be clear: this is not about whether they thought I was underperforming or deserving of dismissal. Companies have the right to make those decisions. This review is about the way it was handled: sudden, opaque, and without the slightest transparency or notice. Inside the store, it feels like Big Brother: constant camera surveillance, pressure to always look busy even when there’s nothing to do, and casual chats with coworkers are maybe not the best idea. Also: the pay is just €0.30 above minimum wage. The only positive: great colleagues. Sadly, the company doesn’t practice the values it preaches. If you want credibility, start with transparency. Don’t gaslight staff with “mistakes” on the roster when you already know you’re about to fire them. And maybe extend your much promoted values to the people actually working in your store
I love everything about Industry, it is my go to place for gifts for hard to by for people in my life! Their salads are also incredibly delicious. I also love the bag I bought in Barn, I used as a nappy bag with my first child. Always find the staff to be informative and cheerful, it’s great! Thank you ❤️ ps, their floor is my favourite.
Love this shop! Independently owned (which is becoming a rarity in Dublin), it’s got a soul and sense of responsibility that you don’t find in the bigger chains. They stock gorgeous furniture, lighting, home accessories, lifestyle and unique gifts. Many of the suppliers are unique to Ireland and every time I visit there’s a new brand to discover. The in store cafe offers the best chocolate brownie you will ever taste!
Beautiful shop - always gives me great inspiration for my home. Bought a lovely basket and some really interesting light bulbs. Great for a browse or to get a little treat !
The salads and salted caramel brownies here are really good! I think the lunch options are a bit pricey though. I paid 9.50 for a small salad with chicken yesterday. The shop has some gorgeous things for the home, a nice place to pick up some unusual things.
