Butler's Chocolate Café

This used to be one of my favourite spots for a quick coffee in city centre. Sadly, the atmosphere has changed. During my last visit, staff were speaking loudly to each other and seemed more focused on their own conversations than on customers. It took away from the calm, cosy environment I’ve appreciated for years.

I really appreciate this Butlers location and the staff there. The coffee is consistently really good and they are always happy to make a cortado for me. At another Butlers location, they made a big deal out of the fact that they don't do cortado which made no sense to me. They are a coffee shop! Surely they could manage a cortado even if its not officially on their menu. Anyway. I recommend this location specifically, if you are in and around the city centre. There is a genuineness to the service, it is understated but friendly and welcoming. The coffee is excellent and there is a decent amount of seating.

Great place for a more than average, non burnt coffee in Dublin. Service is fast, prices are affordable and they always give you a free chocolate with every coffee! Only downside is they never seem to have many tables in any of their locations so it’s more of a to-go place.
