What a lovely restaurant. We ate very well here and would highly recommend for anyone in the city. The service and food were some of the best in the city. We wanted a Danish lunch and that’s what we got. The owner was a true gent.
Wow! I can see why Cafe Valkenborg has a perfect rating and cannot give it anything less. I am in Copenhagen for work this week and my colleagues and I were hoping to have an authentic Dannish lunch. The wait staff were fun and knowledgeable and the food was incredible. I've had picked herring before but this was marinated, fresh, and delicious. I had no idea herring could taste this good! I also had a smoked Salmon special that was equally delicious albeit more common to me visiting from the United States. So glad we went here and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
A perfect 5stars restaurant! Amazing food, place and service! If you want to taste the traditional Smørrebrød, this is the place in CPH!
Great experience at this restaurant! Very authentic and delicious smørrebrød. I got the chicken salad and my boyfriend got pickled herring. Everyone was happy with their meal. The owner was helpful, welcoming, and friendly. Highly recommend!
This place is like a hidden gem that not many people (or tourists) know. The interior is beautifully decorated, even the toilet is very nice. The owner and staffs are very sweet and friendly, their service is top level. The food is good but personally I’d add more seasonings (but because im Asian hehe), but I believe they serve a great authentic Danish food that you should try. The portions were quite small, I had classic herring + fried breaded plaice for lunch.
