Cafe Sandø

Nice cozy yet hip place for a coffee or a lunch. The restaurant has a small surface area, but does not feel crowded. The lunch was great! The staff was friendly and polite, but you have to order at the bar and/or grab the menue yourself. This is not an issue for me, but you might want to be aware.

Found this place by случай during a walk around Copenhagen and decided to stop for lunch - I was very satisfied. There was a free table, the food arrived quite quickly, and the dish was really interesting in taste with great quality ingredients. Highly recommend for a relatively quick lunch!

Nice little restaurant tucked away under a building. Very cosy inside and great for a coffee and a Scandinavian lunch. The restaurant has toilets, WiFi and an outdoor terrace as well. The food and drinks are quite good and sizes also. Loved the Jasmin tea and Salmon salad with bread. Chicken salad also a good one. Mind you that by the end of the day some options might be sold out (like the mushroom cheese sandwich in our case). When you get in find your way to the coffee bar for the menus and order there (this wasn’t clear for us when we got in). Food and drinks will be brought to the table. Friendly service! Credit cards accepted!

We stumbled unexpectedly in this café as we were exploring Christianshavn and we couldn't have hoped for better: the staff is very kind, the terrace exquisite and the food delicious. We opted for the avocado pistachio smørrebrød and the Fava beans salad, two bangers. We'd definitively come back in our next trip.

This was our first stop in Copenhagen. There are only a handful of items on the food menu, with emphasis on the traditional Danish food known as smørrebrød (an open faced sandwich packed with various toppings). The sandwiches were delicious and the portions were alright. The downside is that you have to order at the bar. The terrace was full so we did have to wait a bit for our food to come but it was worth it.
