Kopi-O Cafe

This is always one of my favourite breakfast stops in Chiang Mai! The taste is great and the prices are super reasonable. I love the outdoor dining, perfect on the winter morning too! I noticed this time on my visit there’s a new QR scan ordering system which seemed really efficient and the food/drinks came quickly. I saw a lot of negative reviews for wait and service but honestly it’s never been my experience here :)

We arrived at Kopy Café close to noon on a weekday. It was empty and we opted to sit outside. They had plenty of seat options indoors too. The menu is pretty good with various Thai breakfast options, like boiled rice with different toppings, egg platter, different dips with toasted or steamed bread. We ordered our usuals and the food arrived pretty quick. It was well seasoned and tasted great! The service was pretty minimal. No complaints from me as we got everything we needed. The toasted bread was a hit for us, the pandan dip was the perfect amount of sweet and the boiled rice had a lot of pork toppings. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a breakfast option.

LOVE THIS!! Reminds me of my childhood!! Decors of old style congee/coffee shop offers hot/iced Ovaltine drink, Thai/Chinese Coffees/Teas. Has some traditional congee and rice soup breakfast mix with westernized breakfast. Flavor of food was good, just the whole vibe reminds me of childhood.

I love the set of Ovaltine, tea, bread and soft boiled egg. (They called Ancient set)The espresso comes in a small Chinese cup looks so cute. Other menu also taste nice and worth the try.

VERY BAD SERVICE. We were told to write our own order on the paper. The waitress told us it can be in English or Chinese. 1) We got the wrong drinks. I ordered HOT blue pea and indicated (HOT) on the paper but it came out ICE and they say it cannot change so I bring it over to the counter and get them to help me take out the ice. And the person's face was SUPER BLACK like I owned her as if I was the one who made the wrong order. 2) We ordered the toast set with drinks + toast + eggs and only the drinks came. They say we write wrongly. But the menu says 古式早餐 and they say because we never write clearly? Very funny business order. You want customers to write our own order and you all served the WRONG ORDER AND BLAME IT ON US? What the hell is wrong with all you people????? Dont be lazy and get your own staff to write orders for us so that NOTHING GETS DELIVERED WRONG. Go at your own risks, don't waste money on such mediocre food and services.
