The name of the store is kinda a clichΓ© (a bit eye rolling) so I initially thought the coffee would be so and so but what the heck lets dive in. For starters its a Japanese shop that sells coffee beans and other food items etc and a coffee bar in front of the store. Lots of stuff and they have a huge inventory. Good selection of beans at the counter which you can purchase by weight. Got a few bags here to take home. Right outside the store is a coffee bar with a few counter table seats for that short coffee break you needed. Always made it a point to order the Black drip coffee whenever I'm around here. Really enjoyed a little quiet time here with a good cup of joe. Takes around 10 mins or more for the extraction via pour over but its worth it cause the coffee is good. Its smooth with a little body and brightness. They served it in a mug and not a take-away cup and that a huge plus for me. Coffee taste so much better with a proper cup specially since its a pour over. I can tell from the care and precision the barista took to extract my coffee that its gonna be good. I dropped by here a lot whenever I'm in CW. Once you find a good coffee shop... you can't help but keep coming back. At the end of the day, I guess the best coffee shop is the one that easy to go to with the coffee you always enjoy drinking.
A coffee shop that also sells pastries. Located in the Japanese food section on the 3rd floor of the old Isetan side. β- The Legend of Kaldi Coffee: In ancient Africa (now Ethiopia), there's story of a goatherd living in the countryside. One day, his goats became restless, jumping and dancing around until late at night. Upon investigation, he discovered that the red berries the goats ate with their grass might have been causing their alertness. He tried the berries himself and felt refreshed and invigorated. Later, a monk who heard the story thought it might be useful for monks who experienced drowsiness during their meditation. He tried it and found it effective. This story spread widely, even to distant countries. The goatherd's name was "Kaldi," and the red berries he tasted were "coffee." The familiar illustration of Kaldi Coffee Farm depicts the magic of this legend. The image and story are based partly on the discovery of coffee.
...a shop selling coffee beans and Japanese-style sweets that many travelers are very familiar with. Coffee beans are available for purchase according to your preference, or you can choose to enjoy the premium taste of a blend of two types of coffee. The shop's interior is packed with ready-to-brew beverages and a variety of Japanese-style sweets to choose from.
Great shop with lots of Japanese made products and a variety of coffee beans to choose from.
Located next to Midori Kaiten Sushi π£ Easy to find. This branch has a store with takeaway counter in front. The coffee bean here is a must try. Lot of staffs same as in Japan π―π΅ Iced coffee for taster is so great. Hojicha with milk is great.
