Kalapela Tea House

Kalapela tea room is amazing, I absolutely loved it there! High quality herbal teas are served there along with other delights such as wine. Has a quiet and calm atmosphere which is exactly what u want when ur relaxing drinking a herbal tea .. highly recommend this place!

The first five things we tried to order were already sold out. The five things we did end up getting were generally below average. The complimentary sweets they gave us after we paid the bill were unbelievably bad. Maybe we shouldn't have expected it to be edible when even the paid portion of our tea was quite bad. Somewhat unrelated to the poor quality of food, one of the forks we were using started bending as we cut through the cakes. Wouldn't recommend to anyone with good taste.

The service, entrees, dessert, and tea were all exceptional. If you are looking for a fun tea room experience in Chiang Mai, I would recommend this place.

Wow. Great decor, exceptionally attentive staff, and a peaceful place to enjoy a tea and cake. Tea was perfect and the presentation was a delight after one of the best massages we have had in months across the street. I like this town.

Kalapela is a wonderful little oasis in the heart of Chiang Mai with friendly proprietors, great service, perfect tea, and scrumptious food. The prices are quite high, especially for CM, but if you can afford to splurge, you will be rewarded. I had a soothing pot of pai mu tan imperial tea with an exquisite mango sticky rice croissant. They were kind enough to also serve me a beautiful little serving of mango ice cream with chili oil and smoked salt, an unusual yet perfect combination. I happily lingered over my delicious delicacies in my comfortable seat amongst the smiling staff in the relaxing atmosphere of Kalapela. It was as good or better than any one-hour spa and, in that context, makes Kalapela quite a good deal.
