The Good Morning (Breakfast and Coffee)

I came here for breakfast around 11am and waited about 20 minutes for a seat. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the wait more pleasant. For food and drinks, I ordered the croque madame, a poppy seed bread pudding with mango vanilla custard, and a lemonade. Perhaps my expectations were a bit high after the wait, but the food turned out to be just so-so — good, but not outstanding. For the croque madame, I would suggest letting customers choose the egg style. It only comes with a fried egg, but I personally think a poached egg could work wonderfully. The bread itself was fairly standard, similar to grilled cheese bread. Using sourdough instead might give it a more interesting texture. The poppy seed bread pudding was explained by the waiter as a Hungarian tradition. To be honest, it’s probably just not my style of bread pudding. The texture was quite unique, though not necessarily in a way I enjoyed. The mango vanilla custard was pleasant, but a bit mild. Thus, it didn’t fully change my impression of the dish. As for the lemonade, it was simply a standard lemonade. Perhaps I would need to try some other options on the menu next time, but overall it was a good experience, just not an excellent one.

BEST EGGS ROYAL EVER!!! We visited this cafe for brunch and we absolutely loved everything about it. The place was so calm with a good atmosphere and decent number of seats. The eggs royal were absolutely stunning and the coffee tasted amazing too. The staff were super friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this cafe ☕️

This place just opened, but I’m in love. The Ultimate Avo toast is to die for and the coffee is amazing, I had to have two while there for brunch. They can do a lot of things gluten free (including the Nica pancakes!!) But the atmosphere is the best - it’s such a unique place, with two swings in the window, an absolutely beautiful decor, you can really tell the owners heart is in it. The staff was really nice as well. Definitely go visit while you’re in Budapest, we’ll be back!
