A cozy kosher dairy cafe in the old Jewish quarter neighborhood. A nice menu of various shakshukas, salads, humus and pasta. Good service and a nice vibe.
DO NOT RECCOMMEND!! One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Was so excited to eat some kosher food . But the food was terrible. The young blonde waitress was very rude. When we asked for instructions for the menu she said we can just read because it’s written there. I asked for my eggs to be well done and she brought me omlette. When I asked her about it she said that s how the eggs come🤣 and she left me hanging. It’s very cold air coming from somewhere idk where from but it s not cozy at all considering it s -14 degrees outisde
It was great service and great food, quite a change from some of the older jewish restaurants that dont give good service and demand tips even if not deserving.
We had breakfast at Tel Aviv Café in Budapest with a small group, and it was exactly what we needed after just getting off the plane. The food was fresh, flavorful, and kosher, such a welcome find in Budapest. We shared the Chummus Sabich, which came with soft, perfectly cooked eggplant, smooth chummus, and a spot-on hard-boiled egg (though we missed the amba). The matbucha was rich and full of flavor, served with fresh, warm pitot. We also ordered the Israeli breakfast, which included a decent omelette, fresh salad, and sides. The cappuccino really hit the spot, and for dessert we split the cheesecake, which was outstanding, creamy, perfectly sweetened, and truly a slice of heaven. Overall, a warm and friendly spot for fresh kosher food in Budapest, with excellent service and a great Israeli-style breakfast.
From the moment you step into Tel Aviv Cafe at Kazinczy Street, you’re wrapped in a welcoming atmosphere that manages to feel both authentic and modern. Nestled just across from the Orthodox synagogue, this charming café radiates a relaxed, café-bistro energy: sunshine-filled mornings, a subtle buzz, and a menu that nods to Middle Eastern flavors with creative flair
