Cirkusz Cafe

It is an extremely popular place for brunch. Given the hype, I was expecting it to be really nice but it was just not my style. The seatings are too close to one another and the place is too packed to actually enjoy your brunch. Also the food we tried was just average (Turkish eggs and Egg Royal). The service also felt a bit chaotic but the waiters and waitresses were nice.

It is great! The atmosphere, the people and of course the food. The portions were huge and it kept us full for almost all day. We got the recovery breakfast which can easily be shared between two people, the avo & beetroot hummus toast and the pancakes with the banana and caramel sauce. All three tasted great. If you want something to kickstart a full day of sightseeing this is definitely your place.

We came around 1 PM and waited about 30 minutes to get a table. But the system works really well - as soon as a table opens up, the next people are seated pretty quickly. You can check the menu while waiting, and once you sit down, you order right away. After that, everything moves fast. The food was so good that the wait didn’t even bother us - totally worth it. Brunch and desserts were amazing, and everything felt light, not heavy at all. When we walked by again around 3 PM, the place was already half empty, so you can probably avoid the wait then. Highly recommend. Plus, it’s in an awesome area of Budapest - the Jewish Quarter, with lots of young people and a cool vibe

Absolutely amazing breakfast experience! Totally worth waiting 20+ minutes Staff is young, polite, professional, energetic and willing to do their best to serve you. We had a lot of different plates and everything was on the 5 star review level. Great job Cirkusz!

We always make sure to come back here. The service is good and the food is delicious. We always had to wait in line to be seated but most of the times it passes quickly. The pancake and the English breakfast are my top picks. For the juices I won’t recommend them, ordered a green one and it tasted like cucumber with water but the kind staff replaced it for me with hot chocolate that’s is really good there.
