Rózsavölgyi Szalon

This small cafe theater has a very nice atmosphere, some plays are using the space of the whole café, so your seats are part of the scenery. During the play you cannot order at the tables, but you are allowed to eat or drink. The cloakroom is obligatory.

It is a small saloon I always wanted to go to for a play. As it says you are sitting around tables have a chance to order food and drinks and enjoy a good evening with a friend. The program was also interesting, so altogether I was very happy.

It is a talented idea to establish a small theatre inside a music shop. The oldtime theatre nostalgic feeling is present. The audience is not sitting in rows as in a movie theatre, the parkett is a cafe, people eating, drinking during the performance. The pieces are in Hungarian, sorry. A performance of the piece with the title "romance.com" (this is the title, not forbidden reference to a site) was an other hit in the row of successes.

We saw a play " Válásguru" / divorce guru/ in this fantastic dinner theatre in the very centre of Budapest.We are regulars here and always fascinated by the place,by the theater performance!

Amazing plays, very intimate connection with the actors and actresses. One star minus because the drink and food, it is ok, but I expected a little better. Highly recommend (as long as your native tongue is Hungarian) 😉
