I stopped by Rojt és Bojt Coffee while exploring Budapest and found it tucked away down a large flight of stairs, slightly hidden beneath a small rise of apartments. It feels like a proper local find rather than somewhere you would simply stumble across. I had a caramel Spanish coffee, which was delicious, alongside a homemade lemonade. Both were well made and refreshing. To eat, I chose a salmon salad bagel, which was really good and excellent value for money. After a long day exploring, my phone battery was almost dead and they kindly offered to put it on charge for me, which was a genuinely thoughtful touch and much appreciated. I sat outside on their small mezzanine area, which added to the relaxed, neighbourhood feel of the place. The lady who served me was very friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. A hidden gem with a truly local atmosphere, good food, and great coffee. Definitely worth making a pit stop here during your travels in Budapest.
A lovely little place with a warm, intimate atmosphere. It’s small and beautifully decorated, with only four tables, which makes it feel cozy and relaxed rather than rushed. The bar menu is delicious and well curated, perfect for a light lunch or a snack while exploring the city. Great music, a really nice vibe, and a place where you actually feel invited to slow down for a moment. I had the soup of the day, a filled croissant, and a slice of cake with coffee and a mint tea made with fresh mint, and everything was genuinely delicious. Simple, comforting, and very well done. Most of all, the staff is incredibly friendly: smiling, kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they enjoy what they do, and it makes a big difference. Overall, a wonderful experience and a spot I’d happily return to.
Went to Budapest for a city break. Found this cute little cafe on our way to the castle. Staff were so lovely and friendly. The food was delicious and a good portion size. We had to scan a QR code to order the food. Small cafe but cute vibes. And the cafe dog was sooo adorable. Recommend for a quick brunch if you are doing a lot of walking around.
We went middle of December. It was cold, but they were so cute, they had blankets outside. The food was delicious, staff were so kind, and food was delicious! You do have to order with your phone, but it was very user friendly. Highly recommend before or after visiting the castle.
