Literally the BEST food I've had during my Budapest trip. It was a short 4 day trip and we've eaten there twice. Their sourdough bread is also amazing. Give them a shot, they won't disappoint.
Very nice brunch, we went two times! The chocolate babka is really tasty. The french toasts and shakshuka too, the bread is incredible. The oatmeal is maybe a little bit too sweet.
We came to David’s Kitchen for breakfast around 9AM on a Saturday. It wasn’t very busy and no line to wait. The brunch menu was relatively limited compared to other places but the options were unique meals. The bread was freshly baked and the coffee was good. However, the portion size was not as big and flavorful as expected. Seating arrangement was a little tight and the seating area not large in general. The baked goods looked very fresh and delicious but we didn’t try them. Overall a satisfactory experience.
I enjoyed my meal so much that I returned the next day to try other things! I had the guac bowl with sunny side up eggs which was absolutely delicious! Creamy avocado and cashew, with vegetables, an egg and a piece of their amazing sourdough. For pastries, the Turós Táska was my favourite - a soft pillow filled generously with sweet cheese filling. I also loved the pain au chocolat - the lamination was beautiful and the dough was buttery and tasty. The granola is heavenly, comes with silky yogurt and seasonal fruit - mine had pear and blueberries and was SOOOO tasty. Together with some black tea I had the perfect breakfast! Twice! The staff are lovely and so welcoming, and the atmosphere is great, a perfect place for breakfast/brunch. I'm definitely going to come back on my next visit to Budapest. Thank you ❤️
Such a gem! This place is so nice and the food is delicious. The sourdough bread is just out of this world - the best bread I've tasted in Budapest. It is fluffy, warm and fresh. The dishes are so well seasoned, fresh, delicious and made with love and care. The atmosphere in this place is so cool and fun. Very TLV-like place.
