Lovely place if you come for the atmosphere and expect nothing more than what the interior promises. Tourist-friendly in that the menu is translated and the waiters (or one of them at least) speak English, yet still favored by locals stopping by for a beer with a snack, coffee or a simple breakfast. You can get a bottle of sparkling wine or a dessert too if you so desire.
This is a cafe like the ones we had back in good old days in Istanbul: for the people by the people. It’s plain and designed for real human interaction and social life. Apparently the decoration didn’t change since the 50s. I love it. It’s a must!
Retro cafe serving no fuss, but good, food and drinks at affordable prices. Recommended for a flashback to times gone by!
Go, enjoy, and experience something very very special. Bambi Cafe is unique in many ways. Great beer, great service. The people watching is priceless. According ti chat gbt, the decor hasn't changed since the 50's. An experience you should really make the effort for. We are going back tomorrow 100%
Bambi is a traditional Hungarian diner with decor stuck in the 20th century. They have really good melegszendvics (traditional open faced bread with various toppings). I love how everyone has coffee/espresso and beer for breakfast! It’s the best! Prices are super reasonable! I had sausages, eggs, melegszendvics, a double espresso (which is a great deal because the whole mug is filled with espresso!) and a half liter of beer, all for around $15 USD! Come and experience traditional breakfast and take your time soaking it all in!
