We tried Les Patisseries de Sébastien just before leaving Berlin, on a particularly cold Sunday. The shop/bakery is very welcoming and allows direct contact with Maitre Sébastien at work. We were greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable staff who gave us excellent advice on their delicious products, all of which were truly tempting. My girlfriend and I had two croissants and a Croque Monsieur. The croissants were extraordinary, among the best I have ever eaten: crispy but not too caramelised, with a buttery interior that melts in your mouth. The Croque Monsieur was delicious, as French as you can get in Berlin. My only regret is not having stocked up for the journey! I highly recommend anyone try Les Patisseries de Sébastien for an authentic artisanal—and extraordinarily delicious—breakfast in Berlin.
Sebastian’s is easily one of the top French patisserie places in Berlin. It’s just like stepping into a bakery in France. The different cakes and patisseries are all amazing in their own ways. So full of flavour and not too sweet. You can really taste everything is hand made and made fresh! I always look forward to going here and hope that Sebastian himself never retires!
The pumpkin quiche was delicious! So, so good, it didn’t survive long enough for me to remember to take a picture. The tart was also good, but a bit too sweet for me. The slice was maybe too big. But it was correctly made. The merengue was fluffy, just the right consistency. The staff is very nice. Loved it here.
[Takeaway Review] French bakery with indoor and outdoor seating. The pain au chocolat was divine ✨ I got it right when they were serving a fresh batch and it was soft and buttery on the inside. Also tried the mini tart tatin (love that they do bite sizes!) Excited to try more items.
It is a charming bakery in Berlin that offers a delightful selection of pastries, cakes, and macarons. While their eclairs are undeniably delicious, I found the vanilla flavor to be a bit overly sweet for my taste. The chocolate eclair, on the other hand, was just right.
