Café Cathrin

We were there today with seven women for a coffee get-together. It took quite a while before we were served, but the cake was okay. What we didn't like was that they only accepted cash; there was a sign on the door saying so. What wasn't mentioned, however, was that the entire place was under video surveillance. We only discovered this by chance; the camera was directly above our table and was recording. I don't know what it was recording. When we wanted to pay, we had to ask three times because the woman (the owner?) preferred to tidy up first. She vacuumed right in front of us, so we felt like we were being kicked out. Finally, we all had to go to the cash register to pay. That was the last time we'll be going there.

Simply wow!! Super delicious cakes and pastries, plus they regularly offer Arabic pastries. The service is extremely attentive and friendly, but never intrusive. Everything is very clean, and I always feel completely comfortable here. For me, the best café in and around Bad Kreuznach! The owner definitely knows his craft. Even with a walker, the entrance is easily accessible thanks to a small, manageable step.

April 14, 2025 We were here after a funeral (the café is near the Bad Kreuznach city cemetery) and had the whole place to ourselves. Therefore, I unfortunately can't comment on the service during regular hours. At least for us, it was very good. Since there were more of us than expected, a few extra tables were quickly put together and set. The staff member handled everything without any problems. The food and drinks were delicious, especially the espresso. The café is comfortably furnished, and the restrooms are clean. The only slight drawback is that they only accept cash and not cards. But otherwise, everything was excellent. There are one or two parking spaces directly in front, and plenty more parking nearby. April 16, 2025 Even during regular hours, the staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. The cakes and pastries were outstanding, and the drinks were delicious and hot. ... May 7, 2025 I stopped in spontaneously and it was, as always, very, very delicious.

I like this place Cafe Catrin, my sister had a memorial at Zorn for her husband who passed away recently. And after had a little gathering at the Cafe after wards,I was surprised on the amount of attentiveness they gave they were really nice, the way the back room looked when they set up for a little gathering it was really nice, they had coffee and sparkling water to drink plus alc, wonderful cakes and coffee cake types, like raspberry and things, very clean and plenty of room.
