Café at Marla

Stopped by for a coffee & snack on a sunny evening in Berlin. The owner was super friendly, explained to us the differences in our coffee (Espresso & Cortado), and recommended us a Tamale - among the only Mexican places in Berlin to sell one. We also ordered Tacos. All of it was delicious - but it’s the owner and his team’s warmth in creating such a lovely space that we will come back for.

Cafe Marla is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican food. The flavors are rich, comforting, and clearly made with care and tradition. Every dish feels homemade and full of soul. A special mention goes to their incredibly friendly and welcoming service—the staff makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. Cafe Marla is the perfect place for delicious food, warm vibes, and a truly satisfying dining experience.

Delicious tacos with generous portions. I also loved the specialty coffee — not something you usually expect at a taco place, but it was a great combo. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Great tacos, unique vibe, and very friendly. Me and my girlfriend are always on the hunt for authentic tacos in Berlin and were really impressed by this place. Not just tacos the food (some of the more authentic tacos in Berlin. A little pricey but typical for Berlin), but the entire venue is super unique. They had a dj inside with people dancing at noon, the owner was really kind and even gave us a free corn bread muffin, and there’s even a listening vinyl store in the back. Everyone was also extra friendly (not something you always find when dining in Berlin), which made it extra nice. This would make for a great date spot. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

If you look for a place to have breakfast or just a coffee to go - Café at Marla is the place for you. The beverages are fantastic - the devil is in the detail: Every coffee is grinded and extracted for you. But the real deal is the food. If you are into mexican food, you're going to have a blast - EVEN or ESPECIALLY if you are Mexican. The chilaquiles are fantastic. The tacos are absolutely amazing - Jalisco style. There is even vegan tacos - which are an absolute recommendation. Tacos de Barbacoa están brutales weiii. I'd give ten stars to the place, but I only can give 5. I hate Berlin, but if I ever have to go there again, I'll only eat at Café at Marla. That's for sure.
