I got the Lachs bagel, hummus, coffee, and banana cake. I enjoyed the food a lot and thought it was cute cafe, perfect for a breakfast date or brunch.
Wonderful service, food & atmosphere ✨️ everything tasted amazing
Best breakfast and brunch in the area. I stayed in the Kreuzberg area for three weeks and tried many places, but I kept coming back to What A Treat for breakfast. Every dish I tried was delicious. My favorites were the mozzarella and tomato sesame bagel and the fresh apple juice. All the staff speak English, and they have an English menu—something that’s surprisingly hard to find in Berlin. On weekends, you’ll need a reservation since it tends to be full, but on weekdays, I always found a table without a problem.
Ordered Mix It Juice & Orange Juice. And for a breakfast, ordered Avocado bagel with eggs and scrambled eggs. Avocado and egg was good but bagel was too hard to cut. Also, salad as a side was below-par as well as the chopped cherry tomatoes. Also had ordered the Carrot cake which was the savior. It was a perfect balance of carrot flavor with sweetness, not too moist and not too dry. Would recommend!
Pleasant experience, good (but not great) food. Very reasonable price. The restaurant is very well kept and music is a nice balance of relaxing and inspiring making it a very nice atmosphere for breakfast. Service was good and coffee was great. The quality of the ingredients was high but preparation could have been better. I like my poached eggs soft but these were bordering on watery. The hollandaise sauce was okay but very simple tasting. All in all worth a visit and I would go back.
