Relaxed local watering hole serving tapas & other sharing plates in a cozy, brick-lined space....
Popped in twice because the first experience.eqs so pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious. The drinks are served like they should be.
A classic in Barcelona. They are famous because of their bravas, which are really good and at an unbeatable price. But the rest of their tapas, and of course, their vermut, also live up to that reputation. I recommend coming here on a weekday and before 13, so you can enjoy the terrace and their food. This place is a must in the city.
Perfect spot for vermouth and patatas bravas in the weekend. The staff are warm and welcoming. We sat inside and loved the atmosphere. The bravas are top!
Have you ever left a restaurant hungryβ I bet you have, unfortunately. π But have you ever felt the need to go to another restaurant to finish your meal? π₯Ί That happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I had been invited to a place and, not only was the quantity served low, but the food was so bad that we decided not to ask for more and we went to a tapas place from my bucket list a few blocks away: Senyor Vermut. The place looks like an old school bar, with really cool vibes. π€© And it seems people like that, cause the room was packed and there's a huge sign (actually there are 2 or 3 π ) at the door asking you to wait to be seated. These signs are not subtle and they didn't make me feel welcome, TBH. π€¨ Nor did the first contact with the waitress, even though she ended up being very nice. In fact, her service was very efficient and, even though it was rush hour, she took the needed time to help us choose. π We shared bravas π₯ and torreznos π₯ (fried pork belly stripes). We picked the torreznos cause this is what the server recommended and it was a good recommendation: they were tasty, not greazy and not too chewy nor too hard. π And we ordered the bravas cause the place is famous for their bravas. They were good, even though I like the potatoes better when they're softer and sweeter and I like the sauce a bit stronger (this one was kinda strong on the garlicky side, not that much on the spicy side). Last but not least: less than β¬3 for a portion of bravas is a bargain nowadays. π₯³ Overall, the price was fair: we paid β¬15 for 2 tapas, 1 croquete and 2 soft drinks. Now I need to go back to try their entrees, cause it's not only a tapas spot. π . . . Quality & taste: 9/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Originality: 6/10 Ratio price / quality: 9/10 Service: 8/10 How I felt afterwards: 9/10
I'm not really a bar person but this place was recommended to me for the tapas, particularly the patatas braves. The tapas were ok, nothing too special. Service and pricing were also ok. You might need to wait in line to get into this establishment.
