Weekday mornings are the quietest
I went to pick up two packages, and both experiences were awful. The first was on a Tuesday, and she treated me very distantly, dismissively, and rudely. Everything was OK for the pickup, but she was a little past the designated pickup time. The schedule said it was until 8:00 PM, but she insisted it was until 7:00 PM. I rushed over to get there by 7:55 PM to collect my package. Finally, after giving me a rather unpleasant speech, she took a picture of my ID, I signed a consent form, and she gave it to me (as is ALWAYS the case). I left with a very strange feeling and feeling unwell. The second time was on Friday of the same week. I arrived at 3:45 PM to pick up a second package. When I walked in, she barely greeted me and was very rude. I told her that no one had notified me that the package was there; I had only found out through a friend who works at GLS. I showed her the email and everything I had to prove my case, and I asked if I could please take it. She insisted that without a QR code, she couldn't give it to me. I told her that on Tuesday she had let me take it with my ID and the consent form, and there hadn't been any problems, that I'm a neighbor, a trustworthy person, and that in this case, since I had just shown her the QR code, there was no QR code because both Amazon and GLS hadn't handled it properly. It wasn't my fault. She told me, again, very rudely, that she wasn't going to give it to me. She literally shoved my package in my face and insisted that she wasn't going to give it to me. She made me cry, she made me cry because I didn't understand anything, because of the injustice and the rudeness she showed me, which I couldn't understand, because I'm a polite person. She saw me crying and still refused. I told her I wanted a complaint form for the mistreatment and because she wouldn't give me my package, and she said she wasn't going to give it to me, that she didn't have one. I told her that otherwise I had the right to call the Guardia Urbana/Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police). I let the confrontation go, since that's what she wanted, and went outside to call GLS. I called about eight numbers and no one answered. After ten minutes, she came out and told me that if I showed her my ID and signed the consent form, AS WE HAD DONE THE PREVIOUS TUESDAY, she would give me the package. I told her that we had reached this point and that she had pushed me to an emotional extreme because she wanted it that way, because the problem could have been solved a while ago and could have been solved in just two minutes. She offers to be a GLS collection point, and the service is terrible because the owner is rude. The place is always empty, I don't know why, but I can imagine how badly she treats customers and polite people. I don't recommend it at all, neither do I nor anyone I know. I'll never go back. I wanted to file a complaint, but since I don't know how it works, I'm leaving this review in the hopes that it will help others avoid a bad experience. There are better options for dropping off packages in the Gornal neighborhood. Best regards.
I discovered this café when I went to pick up a package. It just so happens to be very close to my house, and I liked the atmosphere. One day I decided to go for breakfast, and since then I go whenever I can ☺️. The owner is a sweetheart, the coffee is delicious, and you absolutely have to try the toast with olive oil (it's not your typical toasted bread), it's a lifesaver for me 🙌🏻
Custom Cakes The cakes at Nani's Cafe are spectacular. The sponge is perfectly baked, and there are several flavors to choose from, but my favorite is the chocolate-strawberry cake. I've ordered several cakes, some of them custom. I just send her the picture I want, and she decorates it beautifully. Here are some of the cakes I've ordered—each one more delicious than the last! And the price is very reasonable for the quality!
I discovered this cafe a while ago when I was returning a package to Amazon, and today, since I had to return another package, I decided to take my kids there for a snack. It was a great idea. We ordered a bikini and organic lemon-lime granita, homemade muffins and homemade lemon cake, with coffee with milk and cocoa... everything delicious. The cafe has a children's area with reading books for the kids, which was a great idea. And it's tastefully decorated. We'll definitely be back.
Awesome cafe.. highly recommended 👌
