Famed tree-lined pedestrian walkway known for historic buildings, shops & often street festivals....
Under a lot of construction currently but we'll marked and a great place to walk and reach landmarks like the waterfront or Place Catalunya.
Crowded, expensive, and full of heavy machinery as it is under reconstruction. But, it has it's charm, even though circumventing it is a lot more interesting while in downtown Barcelona through the gothic quarter.
Busy but easily manageable with everything you could imagine to find in a city street ,, I say street itβs amazing with an array of side streets giving you everything you could want for shopping, dining and is an architectural delight with a real colonial feel , always felt safe even tho it was very busy..
We were there during the first week of November 2025 and the entire street is being renovated, pavers were being replaced, lots of construction so no artists or dancers. The market was great though!
Love this little place. I felt really relaxed here even with a lot going on. The people are fun and the stores are great. I played pokemon here too.
