Paella in many versions, plus wine & tapas, offered in a polished, low-key atmosphere....
we ordered paella with seafood, pommes, 2 mojitos, 1l water and paid 51โฌ. the paella was brown and didnโt taste like anything afterwards we both had a really bloated belly and stomachache
We ate here on our last night in the city and wished we would have tried it sooner! I ordered the salmon and my husband had the scallop dumplings. As we were waiting for the food, I was worried about whether they would have the sauces I may need to eat the salmon (I'm very picky about fish), but when it arrived it was delicious with no sauce! My husband eats far more seafood than I do and his comment was that the seafood tasted the freshest out of all he had on the trip so far. We enjoyed the meal so much that we ordered appetizers after - prawns scampi and ham croquette, both of which were also delicious. The service was a little slow, but that may have been because we were allowed to pick our table and we decided to sit across the wall from everyone else. We would definitely be going back if we weren't leaving today.
I ate at this place the last time i was in Barcelona and ate some amazing Paella. This time it was burnt, looked horrible and tasted the same. The plus was the wine was good. Comparison the dark burnt stuff is what we got this time. The nice light appealing one was our first experience (both chicken Paella) clearly different chef's really disappointing.
That's a tough review to make. On one hand, the food is really good and it's really cheap for the quality served. On the other hand, the place is quite filthy... Dirty dishes, disgusting bathroom without toilet paper (and we were among the first customers). So well, if you don't mind the stains on you glass/plate/fork and don't need to use the bathroom, I would say go for it! The food is delicious and totally worth it. Less than 17โฌ for a three courses menu including bread and wine (we had a full bottle for two!) Oh and the service is not super friendly. But you're in a touristic area, you can expect that!
the potato with spicy sauce was really delicious however we had the seafood paella and Valencia paella and I can honestly say it was disgusting. Seafood had no spice just pure rotten sea salt. The Valencia was pork but the pork was all fat very little bits of meat. The sauce was bland. The decor was nice staff were attentive but the food was terrible apart from the potatoes...
