Bar Torrubiano

We went to the Sant Ildefons market this morning to do some shopping, and while we waited, we sat down for a bacon and cheese sandwich, a potato omelet sandwich, and two coffees with milk. The experience was truly awful. We asked them to clean the table, which they didn't. No big deal, it was a busy market day. Anyway, the bacon and cheese sandwich was just okay; the bread was poor quality and the cheese was practically nonexistent. The potato omelet sandwich was good, but the coffees were terrible—they were watery, like you'd poured half a cup of coffee on top and then added water. Honestly, it's not hard to make a decent coffee. When we went to pay, I told the waitress that we hadn't even drunk the coffees because they were undrinkable, so they were still whole in the cups. She didn't even ask why, and she still charged us €13. A rip-off! We will obviously NOT be back. Not recommended.

Excellently run by Gloria and Antonio, this establishment is located in the Sant Ildefonso market in the Cornella neighborhood. With an outdoor and indoor terrace and an indoor bar, you can enjoy a variety of sandwiches, tapas, and good coffee, all of high quality and at reasonable prices.

Just outstide the metro/train station, you ll find this familly run bar, near the market “sant ildefons” . Grab a “café con leche” and ask for some “calamars” and “patatas” … a special treat…

Family-run bar in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Sant Ildefons market, with crowds on all days, both on the street and inside the market. Very good neighborhood atmosphere, with regular customers. They have a wide variety of dishes, tapas and sandwiches. The potato omelette was delicious. Totally recommended.
