Asante Cafe

This restaurant was recently named the number one vegan restaurant in the world by Happy Cow and it definitely lived up to the hype!!! The menu was small but beautifully curated. We got the eggs Benedict and the Shakshuka- I could not believe these eggs were vegan! They were perfectly runny and blended beautifully with the sauces and flavors. I also got the blueberry lavender lemonade and a cinnamon roll and both were incredible! We went with two three year olds and the restaurant had books, paper and colored pencils for them to stay entertained. The staff were so lovely (and very patient with us 🙏🏻) Overall we had the best experience and I will definitely go back!

If someone tells you vegan food is boring and tasteless (and you're still willing to try being friends with that person), Asante Cafe in Barcelona is the perfect place to prove your point. The cosy environment and the tasty and creative food should be a good starter to melt the frozen heart of a ceptic carnivore. They have a small menu but what they do, they do it well. Less is more. Great food, great vibe and nice staff.

Super lovely staff, INCREDIBLE vegan food - never had such good vegan eggs. Absolutely stunning and the fluffiest bread, focaccia and cinnamon roll. It's also the best vegan Spanish style cheesecake we've ever tried - my partner is Spanish and not vegan and we always struggle to find one that ticks all the boxes - the strawberry one did that and more!! In 9 years of being vegan, this was the most surprising and incredible brunch I've had. It's such a humble and unassuming place but the food, every element of which is made in house, is fantastic. The vegan egg took me right back to the eggs I ate all those years ago. Coffee was also the best ive jad in BCN. Can't wait to go back, and keep up the amazing work 👏
