Welcoming coffeehouse with handcrafted coffee, espresso & tea, plus breakfast, lunch & pastries....
A middle-aged female staff member had an extremely bad attitude, kept rolling her eyes at people, and the experience was absolutely terrible. Did I spend money just to be given the cold shoulder? She was so impatient, treating customers like enemies—this is just awful!
Excellent service. A good place is to sit behind the counter - added privacy and less visual disruptions. This is my go to place while I wait for the nieces to finish their shopping. Ample space to charge your electronics, and there’s restrooms a one minute commute from the store. Free water and paper cups are available as “help yourself” at the pick-up counter. I usually take my flask and ask them to fill it up with water and ice as well (free and no, you dont have to buy their bottled water) when I order my usual Earl Grey Tea. Quick tip: You can ask for cold milk in your black tea too …they have a menu item known as Earl Grey “Latte”….which apparently is a thing…it’s hot tea with boiled milk and hot milk froth on what they refer to now as a Tea Latte…who has boiled milk and froth in their hot tea????? Who on God’s good earth would do such a thing????? I need to know!!!! Well, if you’re traditional like me and prefer the old school way, order your Earl Grey or English Breakfast Tea (not as a latte, which they may try to do) but as a black tea and then tell them to add 2 ounces of cold milk. Emphasize “cold milk” and you’ll be set. Condiments are provided, so make sure you do the local thing and keep some sugar packets, tissues and stirrers for your journey at the airport. Hope this helps.
Ordered two coffees, service was passable initially, just about. Had to ask for sugar and milk, as apposed to being offered, had to wait for milk as the server was busy being funny with two pretty customers. Eventually I received the milk , in a coffee mug ! I would have thought Starbucks, a company with annual turnover in excess of $35 billion, could afford milk jugs. Maybe it was my lazy server as he didn’t seem impressed when I complimented the “lovely” milk jug.
I normally don't write a review for #Starbucks. But this location deserves a good review and the time to write one. The USA market can learn a lesson from here. First you get served on a dish with fork and knife, drink in a glass. Also was treated with a #PourOver demonstration of their #PikePlace coffee by Yoop. Who did an excellent job and was very welcoming. Was nice way to start out the day in #Bangkok. Thank you Yoop.
Not a very big starbucks but I thought it was adequate. Even though it wasn’t big, I managed to find seats easily, as it was pretty empty when I visited in the afternoon. Coffee as expected was good and the front counter staff was friendly. I felt that the cafe was well decorated with the overhanging lanterns from its ceilings. Managed to take some great pics here.
