It was a wonderful experience, easily my favourite place for afternoon tea ka 🎀 First of all, I would like to highly compliment the beverage team: hot americano is usually one of the least popular coffee options and a lot of care has been taken in selecting the coffee - the coffee has subtle hints of cedar woods, blood orange, with earthy tone finish that is roasted around medium-dark (just right). This usually means a lot of care has been taken in every aspect of the beverage experience. The desserts are so delicate and adorable, great care has been taken into each pieces to not only look aesthetically pleasing but also has well-balanced sweet-creamy tastes which makes finishing literally everything possible, perfect for those who love gentle and luxurious F&B experiences that’s not just pleasing to the eyes but all sensory experiences to take your minds off from stress. The atmosphere has great decorations (The Great Gatsby wall clock decorations mix with modern white-beige-grey seatings on marble interiors) the lighting is just right, great for photos especially during golden hours (3-5pm), honourable mentions to great remix of the Roaring 20’s (1920s) vibe playlist playing subtly in the background. Last but not least, the lovely staffs are all the more amicable to us (a group of late 20s girls) which easily makes round 2 visits on our bucket list 🤍 keep up the smiles and great work na ka ✨
I have been to several places that boast of their spread for their afternoon high teas. But I must say, I have never enjoyed any of my previous experiences before as much as when I came to experience what the Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria in Bangkok has to offer. Five star all the way from service, to taste to atmosphere. There is a genuineness to the service that’s beyond the standards of the service industry. It’s like coming home. We especially liked the way the different flavors were combined - fresh and rich at the same time. So good! And the presentation is just so pleasing to the eye, you almost don’t wanna touch the spread to maintain the aesthetic perfection. And what better way to enjoy Bangkok, its daytime view - the juxtaposition of high-end vibrant malls and a scenic and serene golf course is beyond amazing! We had a wonderful conversation between an enjoyable afternoon tea, and to top it off, the young lady who was playing a wind instrument in the background radiated a very calming energy. We already sent off word to friends to have a try at the Peacock Alley. And we will definitely come back another time for another celebration!
The afternoon tea here is truly a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The lounge itself sets the tone with its elegant, soft lighting, and plush seating that make the atmosphere feel sophisticated yet comfortable. The tea selection and drinks are beautifully presented; my iced tea topped with cream and ruby-red jelly was refreshing and indulgent at the same time. The savory bites were creative and artistic — from delicate cones filled with salmon roe to intricately plated amuse-bouches that looked almost too pretty to eat. The pastries were the real highlight. Seasonal desserts came in whimsical shapes like pumpkins and mushrooms, showcasing both playful creativity and precise technique. Flavors were balanced: rich yet not overwhelming, with just the right amount of sweetness. The colorful scones, served warm with clotted cream and jam. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, blending artistry with taste. Combined with attentive service and the serene atmosphere, this afternoon tea was an experience that felt luxurious and memorable — perfect for a special occasion or simply treating yourself.
Stunning setting and lovely view, great way to relax and enjoy a leisurely afternoon. The food was good, the salmon mousse with crispy rice served in the egg shell was my favorite. There are a lot of sweet treats so a hot tea was the better accompaniment over a sweet drink. I think the addition of savory finger sandwiches would be nice and maybe one less sweet option?
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Peacock Alley for afternoon tea, and I must say, it was an experience to remember. The atmosphere was very good, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon. Both the food and drink were of excellent quality, and I particularly enjoyed the surprisingly good macarons and the small cakes, which were both delicious and beautifully presented. It's safe to say that this was one of the best afternoon teas I've had in a while. If you're looking for a delightful and indulgent experience, Peacock Alley is the perfect destination.
