Tucked into Sukhumvit 31, PAGA Microroastery is more than a café — it’s a crafted sensory experience that blends meticulous coffee craft with sleek, futuristic design. At its heart is an owner-barista with world-class chops — Romanian champion and competition veteran Gabriel Carol — whose passion for specialty coffee informs every cup. Pros • Exceptional coffee expertise led by a world-class barista, evident in both espresso and filter options. • Futurist, thoughtfully designed interior that elevates the entire tasting experience. • A tranquil, refined atmosphere that subtly celebrates coffee culture. Cons • The staff can come across as a bit reserved rather than warmly welcoming — an area that could enhance the overall vibe. • The air-conditioning tends toward the chilly side, which may detract from comfort during longer stays. Overall, PAGA is a must-visit for serious coffee lovers and design aficionados — a place where precision meets style, even if the human warmth occasionally lags behind the aesthetic.
Place is super cute, the interior looks sophisticated and elegant. The disappointment comes from the actual product, the coffee. I really expected higher quality from a roastery also considering their prices. 1 star for the deceit.
A sanctuary for serious specialty coffee lovers! The minimalist white design puts the focus entirely on the coffee and the brewing process. Equipment & Beans: You can tell they are serious about quality just by looking at their gear—they use top-tier equipment like the Sanremo Opera 2.0 and Victoria Arduino grinders. The coffee selection is vast, with many bean varieties available for sale. Service: The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. If you are unsure what to order, you can consult with them, and they will recommend a bean profile that suits your taste. I really enjoyed the iced black coffee—they were brewed to perfection. Parking: A huge bonus for this area (Sukhumvit 31) is that they have reserved parking spots for customers right in front of the building. Highly recommended if you appreciate high-quality coffee.
Arguably the best place for espresso in the city - I tasted two different ones (Thai and Columbian beans) and both were excellent. More than twenty different sorts of coffee for filter coffee lovers.
The menu promises a lot with "Authentic Nano-Lots" and premium pricing, but the result in the cup didn't quite match the hype. It was "good," but nothing more; it lacked complexity, and I didn't find the extraordinary notes I was expecting at this level. The setting doesn't help you enjoy the moment: the roasting area, visible behind glass, gave an impression of negligence. Seeing the staff handle coffee with beans scattered on the floor and bulk storage in white bins makes for an untidy image. I don't particularly recommend it for the experience.
