The taste is up to standard. Waiting in line for freshly fried dough sticks is so satisfying… The staff at this branch are so lovely.
You have to try the made-to-order deep-fried dough sticks (patonggo). It takes a while, but they're definitely delicious. They also have bread and fried eggs.
I ordered the giant fried dough sticks (patonggo) outside the shop, went inside to pay, and then came back out to hand in the dipping sauce to the staff outside where they fry the patonggo. The staff didn't even ask my name. I sat and waited, and when the people before me were served, I thought I was next. It turned out I wasn't. I asked if my dipping sauce order was ready yet. The staff asked if I had given my name. I said no, nobody told me to, and nobody asked my name. In short, I had to wait for three more people. It was very confusing. The shop at The Circle Ratchaphruek branch needs to improve its service. If the staff don't have enough service mind to inform customers about the ordering process, they should put up a sign explaining the ordering steps. Honestly, this experience was very disappointing.
I bought egg tarts to take home, warmed them up in the oven, and ate them. They were so delicious, crispy and fragrant! But the shop looked very deserted. It's impressive that Circle has lasted this long. They never seem to have any fried dough sticks (patongko) left.
As of 03/2560, the restaurant has stopped selling food.
