Weekday mornings are the quietest
I absolutely adore this place: every single dish I’ve tried hit the spot, but if I had to choose one it would definitely be the nasi campur. I came back here around five or six times in my stay. The place is super nice and feels authentic, and the staff is very welcoming. Prices are fair
First Meal, Mild Panic, Happy Ending! We were quite hyped for this one. First proper meal out in Bali, expectations slightly dramatic. Then we arrived and saw a small, cute warung on a quiet street, mostly filled with Western diners. Immediate suspicion activated. Haiya, is this going to be spice-adjusted? But the place had a relaxed charm, open to the street, easygoing energy, nothing flashy. My friend ordered the nasi campur. Brown rice with chicken satay, pepes tuna, chicken gerangasem, sayur kalasan, corn fritter and sambal matah. Portion was generous, properly filling. I went for the nasi goreng with ribs, served with mixed vegetables and a fried egg. The meat was tender and nicely caramelised. Flavour overall was genuinely good. Balanced, clean, satisfying. But yes, the spice level was slightly toned down. You can tell it’s calibrated for "international comfort". Service was warm and smooth, English spoken confidently, very used to tourists but still sincere. Sitting there facing the quiet street, just watching Ubud move slowly, felt unexpectedly nice. Not the boldest, sweat-inducing Balinese experience, but a comforting and solid first meal to start the trip.
Amazing service and the food was very delicious. Price is good for the portions they served. I had a Pork Satay, Shrimp Coconut soup and Mix fruits Juice. Highly recommended!
This was one of my favorite warungs. We had also been to Sun Sun Warung and Baby Monkey Warung in Sanur. I liked this one for the simplicity, we sat at table where we could people watch. I got the pork ribs with fried rice and my boyfriend got the duck. We also got 6 dumplings as an appetizer and like 4-5 spring roles. The price was really good for the amount of food we ate! Definitely a more local feel and just simply a good meal.
I came here every day for the perfect espresso and guacamole. Staff was incredibly welcoming, armosfere and style fit Ubud, prices are very friendly. I also enjoyed the tuna and the shrimp soup. Recommend 120%.
