Tempat untuk menikmati aneka macam kopi khas Indonesia, seperti kopi luwak, kopi bali, gingseng kopi....
We did quite a few coffee tastings during our stay in Ubud and this was by far our favorite. You get the typical walk through a manicured garden with samples of coffee/cocoa/fruit trees etc, as well as their resident civet “Jhoni” who was refreshingly not caged/chained and just chilling on his perch. Tasting was free, we paid for the luwak coffee which was the nicest and smoothest we had experienced. Our guide Daya spent considerable time explaining the coffee process and just chatting with us, service was warm and genuine, no pressure to buy anything, made for a great morning sipping coffee by the rice fields.
Our tour guide stopped here on the way to watch the Kecak dance. At first, we weren’t sure what was going on or what to expect, but the experience turned out to be really pleasant. We were served a complimentary coffee and tea tasting board along with dried banana. Although we didn’t plan to buy anything, we ended up loving the avocado coffee and ginger tea, so we purchased a couple of packages from the shop after the tasting. Just a heads-up that the prices aren’t particularly cheap, but they’re affordable considering the quality. It’s worth trying if you’re a coffee or tea lover.
Absolutely loved this place! 🌿☕ The moment you step in, you’re greeted by the calming aroma of freshly roasted coffee and a beautiful Balinese atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and happy to explain the different types of local coffee — especially the famous Luwak coffee. The tasting session was such a fun experience! You get to try a variety of coffees and teas with stunning nature views around. The setting is peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and perfect for relaxing or taking photos. I love the ginger coffee and herbal tea. If you’re a coffee lover or just looking for a unique Bali experience, Lumbung Sari Coffee is definitely worth a visit. ❤️
Pros: Our visit was lovely! Our guide was so thorough with their explanation of the coffee making process. The tasting was great. So many flavours. We bought packages of the mangosteen tea because it was delicious. Con: We loved Jhoni the civet, but it feels cruel for him to be kept in such a reduced space all day. I know they are nocturnal, but it is the there for the pleasure of tourist and I felt so bad.
Our driver recommend this place as the money spent there goes back to the local people. We had a wonderful guide who shared with us how they collect the famous Luwka coffee beans and coffee. We met Jhoni! You get free coffee and tea tasting board. An extra 55,000 rupiah for the Luwka coffee. Afterwards you can purchase bags of your favourite tea or coffee flavour to take home. It’s great to support the locals of Bali.
